Early, early!

Is it only me that finds they wake up on their husband's schedule even in his absence? I find myself fully awake according to Lt's schedule.

When he is here I tend to be between asleep and awake at this time. Only awake enough to hear Lt move about or giggle if he bumps his toe in the dark. In defense of my giggle it is due to his antics and mutterings when he bumps his toe. He avoids turning on the light (thank you my love!) and refuses to wear slippers (silly man). In his attempts to be quiet he mutters the funniest sounds. I am sure he attempts to swear but how do you do that through gritted teeth while attempting to be quiet? (I am sorry my love. I giggle not for the injury but for the reaction.)

Now he is away and I find myself fully awake. I have nothing to do for hours. It is chilly outside (3°C) and anyone who has known me for some time knows I do not care for chilly. I prefer to wait until it warms a bit before I walk. But my walks are not as long as they have been in the past since my back begins to ache. Instant breakfasts take too little time to prepare but cooking a full breakfast for one seems a waste to me. A long morning shower is always a welcome thing but even that can only last for so long.

If this continues, I will need to find more activities for early morning.

  1. I did the same thing both times my hubby was deployed. Always up when he should have been getting up for PT.

  2. I am unable to function in the mornings. Half the time I don't even hear him leave. Mornings have never been my time of the day.
